Fashion and Influencer marketing is all about staying on trend and relevant. Trends change quickly, but it is amazing to see how brands change their strategies to the season or current events. As a Princess Polly brand ambassador, I've witnessed firsthand how seasonal marketing can affect not only what brands promote, but also how people react to content.

For example, during Halloween, Princess Polly requested that I wear "spooky-themed" clothing that includes dark, edgy pieces to costumes. whereas, in the holiday season, Christmas and New Year's Eve, the focus moved to trends such as shining clothing, cozy layers, and party-ready outfits to use for the festive season. This technique is consistent with customer behavior; people are actively looking for clothing inspiration for the season, and creating quick, relevant material helps brands solve this need.

One of the most exciting parts of being an ambassador was seeing what content my followers liked the most. I noticed that outfit try-ons and style videos with event-specific clothes did better during these seasonal times. This taught me how important it is for marketers to align their content with customer demands and seasonal trends, which Impact.com identifies as an important part to  improve engagement.

The importance of seasonal is not just subjective; according to Business.com, combining advertising with seasonal events can increase audience engagement and impact purchasing decisions. Princess Polly is successful because it helps ambassadors to highlight trends in ways that engage with their followers.
